Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and went on a 3-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in each fight. After that, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's professional career. Ladd bounced back from defeat by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen began her career in 2015, signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: Aspen won the following match with Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission via armbar. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to defeat McGill. Aspen ended the fight with a TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a an unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound in the second round to secure a TKO victory. Her dominance grew and she scored a more impressive win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the opening round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was the first match she's ever had in any significant way. Ladd's victory was a unanimous victory, as well as the Fight of the Night award was awarded to each fighter. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya fell in the third at UFC 7 on ESPN. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
